Teenager arrested for 'carrying police-style baton in street'

A teenager has been arrested after he was allegedly caught with a police baton in the street.
The 16-year-old boy was held by officers in Lanarkshire on Wednesday in connection with possessing an offensive weapon.
He was arrested in Martin Place in Motherwell on Wednesday afternoon. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 16-year-old male was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after being found to be in possession of a police style baton in Martin Place, Motherwell."
