Hunt for two men who approached young woman after getting out of van
Police said the 20-year-old woman was left in a 'state of fear an alarm' in Lanarkshire.
A young woman was left terrified and forced to run away after two men in van approached her in the street.
The 20-year-old woman was approached by the men, who drove up to her and got out of a van, in a street in Lanarkshire on Monday night.
Police say the woman was left in a "state of fear and alarm" by the men at around 10.20pm on Broompark Road in Blantyre.
However, a spokesman confirmed there was currently no report of a sexual assault. STV News understands police are waiting to interview the woman.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 10.20pm on Monday, police received a report of two men getting out of a van and approaching a 20-year-old woman on Broompark Road in Blantyre and leaving her in a state of fear and alarm.
"Inquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident, however there is no report of a sexual assault at this time."
