Woman returns home from hospital after Covid-19 recovery

The 55-year-old is greeted by friends and family outside her house in Fife.

A woman is welcomed back home after winning her fight against coronavirus.

Eileen Bathgate, 55, from Cowdenbeath, Fife, returned home from the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy this week – after contracting Covid-19 ten weeks ago.

Keren Adamson, one of Eileen’s relatives, said: “In more occasions we were told that she wasn’t going to make it but she has just arrived home.

“The nurses, doctors and consultants in the hospital have all said she is a miracle.”
