‘We’re gonna beat the virus’: Care home sings Covid-19 song

Staff and residents at Northgate House have put together a tune to cheer people up during lockdown.

Residents and staff at a Glasgow care home have put together a song to lift their spirits during the coronavirus lockdown.

Northgate House manager Alison and relief manager Suzanne changed the lyrics of the traditional Scottish tune ‘Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff A Bus’ with the help of the elderly residents.

The filming took place before the coronavirus lockdown and its social-distancing regulations came into effect.

The home sing: “We’re gonna beat the virus” and remind people that “if you follow Nic and Boris you’ll be fine”.
