Volunteers attempt to save Scotland’s last lightship

Campaigners are calling for urgent action to preserve the historic vessel The North Carr.

A team of volunteers who battled to save Scotland’s last lightship from sinking have warned that the crumbling vessel urgently needs to be lifted into dry dock.

The North Carr, moored at Dundee’s City Quay, came perilously close to be lost forever in December after several feet of water flooded her hull.
