RAF transfer critically ill COVID-19 patient to intensive care

The A400M aircraft transported the man in his 60s from Shetland to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The Royal Air Force have helped transfer a critically ill patient with coronavirus from Shetland to intensive care on the mainland. 

On Sunday, the A400M aircraft left RAF Brize Norton with medical professionals from the Scottish Ambulance Service on board and evacuated a man in his 60s.

The man was transferred from the Islands so he could receive critical urgent care at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
