Mounted officers finished a training session in North Ayrshire with a well-deserved paddle.
The Police Scotland horses enjoyed making a splash at Irvine Beach.
The training session also coincided with an officer’s last day with the unit ahead of his retirement.
In a Twitter post on Monday, a spokesperson for the force said: “Today marks a sad day as we bid farewell to a special colleague who after 25 years in the police, 17 years in mounted, left us today prior to his official retirement this year.
“We were lucky to have one last training day with him at Irvine.
“Best of luck PC Jarvie we will miss you.”
