Cass surprised her owners by giving birth to a healthy foal ten days early.
George Tweedie and his daughter Anne woke up on Wednesday morning and found the adorable little foal in their field.
They were ecstatic to find out that after giving birth to five colts, Cass has now become the proud mum of her first filly, Elle.
George also said that despite the lockdown, the mare didn’t have difficulties throughout the pregnancy and labour, and both the mum and the foal are healthy and well.
