Kindness of cabbies as frontline NHS workers go fare-free

Taxi drivers in Edinburgh might be short of customers but they're still being relied upon to perform key tasks.

The days of getting a taxi home after going for dinner or a night out might seem like a distant memory.

As in many other industries, cab drivers are struggling to make a living during lockdown.

But they’re still being relied on for tasks like picking up shopping and even transporting patients to hospitals.

One firm in Edinburgh is doing its bit to thank the NHS workers on the frontline.
