Health centre workers are using their time and facilities to produce face shields to help frontline staff combatting coronavirus.
The South-East Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology (SMART) Centre is an outpatient hub for orthotic and prosthetic patients, however, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, staff have had to postpone all non-emergency appointments.
The centre’s workshop technicians and clinical scientists found a way to make face shields for frontline key workers.
In the last week staff have produced around 600 splash visors per day.
