Cruise ship rejected over virus fears sails into Glasgow

Azamara Pursuit, which was denied entry to Chile, was spotted sailing up the Clyde on Monday morning.

A cruise ship which made headlines during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic has docked in Glasgow.

The 592ft Azamara Pursuit, with just a small number of crew members on board, was filmed moving along the Clyde on Monday morning after arriving from Miami.

In March, it spent weeks trying to find somewhere to dock after being rejected by Chile, which feared passengers had coronavirus.

After leaving Argentina in early March, it eventually reaching Miami at the end of the month.

No passengers on board ever tested positive for Covid-19, its owner said.
