Child reads passage of book to ‘busy’ Nicola Sturgeon

Little girl sends a message to the First Minister of Scotland.

A young girl decided to read a passage of her book to the First Minister because she knew she’d be very busy.

Grace posted a video on social media saying Nicola Sturgeon must have a lot on dealing with the coronavirus crisis and assumes she hasn’t had time to read recently.

With the help of her mum, she posted a video on Twitter, tagging the First Minister, in which she reads out a passage from: “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse” by Charlie Mackesy.

After reading, she concludes the video message by sending Ms Sturgeon a kiss.

The sweet post is seen by Sturgeon who replies on Twitter saying: “This has made me smile. Thanks so much Grace – what a lovely thing to do and such a well chosen passage to read for me too. Hope you’re staying well (and behaving for your mum)”.
