Carlaw: PM’s immigration plans have been ‘misunderstood’

The Scottish Conservative leader says he expects a migration system 'appropriate for Scotland's needs'.

Scottish Conservative leader Jackson Carlaw said he expected the Prime Minister to deliver an immigration system which works for Scotland.

The UK Government published its points-based system yesterday.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and industry leaders branded it a disaster for Scotland.

Carlaw said the plans had been misunderstood.
