Businesses urge clarity over roadmap out of lockdown

Firms closed by the pandemic want direction on when they can restart work

Firms across Scotland forced to close by the pandemic are looking for a guidance on when they can potentially restart work.

Nisreen, a driving instructor from Glasgow, says it will take some time for her business to recover.

‘If you put it all together, it’s been a year out of work. And it has been very, very difficult’, she told STV News.

‘I think mentally, it’s very challenging.

‘You’ve not got any structure to your days and you feel as if you are letting down your pupils.’

The First Minister is expected to lay out Scotland’s potential road out of lockdown to parliament but has warned that any easing of restrictions will be slower than last year.
