Scottish holidaymakers stuck in Bulgaria due to the coronavirus outbreak have been escorted to Sofia Airport by police.

The tourists who had been told to check out their hotels on Monday morning travelled by coach with other British passengers in a bid to get a flight home on Friday.

The local police had restricted their movements in certain parts of the country and they have now been told to board any plane available flying to the UK.
