Yousaf backs North Sea workers on Aberdeen visit

But environmental campaigners say more action from the government is required

North Sea workers will not be ‘thrown onto the scrapheap’ as the country moves away from oil and gas.

That was the promise from the First Minister as he visited Aberdeen’s new harbour expansion today.

Announcing additional funding, Humza Yousaf said he understood that the future of oil was dependent on energy security needs as well as the climate.
