A young mum – living with complications after weight loss surgery in Turkey – has told STV News how a botched operation left her waking up, screaming in pain.
The 24-year-old is sharing her experience as a surgeon calls for warning posters to be displayed at every airport departure gate, urging people to think twice about travelling abroad for medical procedures.
Following a number of deaths, UK health officials are planning to visit Turkey to meet with its Government to discuss regulations around both medical and cosmetic surgery.
