Young people with learning disabilities aren’t getting the same medical care for common and treatable illnesses – like epilepsy or pneumonia – as everyone else.

In fact, they’re nine times more likely to die from a “treatable cause”, according to Glasgow University research.

It also found death certificates for people with Down Syndrome often misrepresent the cause of death.
