A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is continuing to disrupt travel and close schools across the north of Scotland.
Around 100 schools in Aberdeenshire, Moray and the Highlands were forced to close on Thursday.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care with gritting crews out across affected areas.
