A hero pilot who flew in some of the most grave air battles of World War Two has been honoured with a special salute in the skies above Perth.
Flight Lieutenant Ernie Holmes was a Lancaster bomber pilot when his plane was shot down over Holland in 1944.
Today, a Battle of Britain flypast paid tribute to the pilot who died last year at the age of 100.
