Construction work is starting on the revival of one Scotland’s earliest sites of Christian worship, Govan Old Church, with an extension with new facilities to be added.
The A-listed church at Govan Old dates back to the 1800s but the yard it sits on is believed to be more than 1,500 years old.
Along with its own historical significance, the church also houses the Govan Stones, which are sculptures from the early medieval period and are unparalleled in Scotland.
Construction work at Govan Old is expected to finish next spring.
