Hundreds of women exposed to a now-banned pregnancy drug are launching a campaign for a public inquiry and compensation into the scandal.
Stillbestrol, commonly known as D.E.S, was prescribed to hundreds of thousands of women on the NHS to treat several issues, including miscarriage – until it was linked to rare cancers and infertility in the children of those who took it.
STV News has been speaking to one family affected by this so called “silent scandal,” who are now demanding answers from the UK Government.
