Women change behaviour to avoid harassment study shows

A recent survey from Transport Scotland found 1/3rd of women felt unsafe using public transport

Women and girls are being forced to change their behaviour and travel habits in order to feel safe from harassment on public transport, according to new research.

Female MSPs shared their own personal experiences of being intimidated or feeling terrified on buses and trains at Holyrood today, as the Transport Minister Jenny Gilruth vowed to tackle the “systemic problem.”
