Woman forced to sell home after £150,000 cryptocurrency scam

Jennifer believed the crypto scheme was legitimate as it featured a famous face

A woman from South Lanarkshire is being forced to sell her home after being conned out of £150,000 online.

The fraudsters used a Facebook advert featuring the money saving expert Martin Lewis to swindle the mother of two out of her life savings.

After thinking she was investing in crypto currency, it turned out Jennifer was taking out £20,000 worth of loans everyday for ten days, before her bank stepped in to block the payments.
