Scotland’s winter vaccination programme got underway today — brought forward due to a new variant of Covid.
Frontline workers and the country’s most vulnerable groups are now being invited for their booster vaccine, while anyone over the age of 50 is being offered the flu jab.
The new strain has been found in several countries across the world and while health experts say people shouldn’t be concerned, they are watching the variant carefully.
