Windfall tax expansion ‘reckless and ruinous’ says oil industry

Yesterday it was announced, that the tax on oil firms would increase, and go on for longer.

‘Reckless, wrong and economically ruinous for the North Sea’ – that’s the reaction from one business group to the UK Government’s decision to expand the windfall tax.

While the sector says it could cost jobs and investment, environmental groups have welcomed the move.
