The widow of a patient who died from Covid at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital believes he was a “dead man walking” due the risk of infection.
Louise Slorance was giving evidence at the Scottish Hospitals Inquiry which is investigating the construction of the site in Glasgow.
Andrew Slorance died six weeks after being admitted to the hospital for a stem cell transplant.
Only after his death his wife discovered he had also been treated for a fungal infection.
