A woman from West Lothian who was left widowed with three young children after her husband died is to have a personal meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss financial support for families like hers.
Had she been bereaved a year earlier Laura Williams would have received help until her children reached the age of 18 – but changes to the benefit system ended that.
