‘We’ve been totally betrayed’, say Bayoh family after inquiry head quits

“Totally betrayed”. That’s how the the family of a man who died in police custody say they feel, after the judge leading the inquiry into his death resigned.

The U-turn has left relatives of Sheku Bayoh feeling let down by the criminal justice system.

But the Scottish Police Federation has welcomed the news.

The inquiry has already cost more than £50m.
