One of Scotland’s leading experts in the spread of infectious diseases has told STV News we’re barely any safer now from the risk of another pandemic than we were at the start of Covid.
Professor Mark Woolhouse also said warnings of a lack of preparedness back in early 2020 were not listened to.
It comes after a damning report from the Covid inquiry on Thursday laid bare mistakes made by the Scottish and UK Governments.
