Weight loss injections, such as Wegovy and Mounjaro, have become increasingly popular in Scotland over the last few years but those seeking the drugs could soon face tougher checks as part of a crackdown on online pharmacies.
It means that clinics must conduct proper two-way consultations when prescribing the jabs rather than online questionnaires to ensure they don’t end up in the wrong hands.
The move has been welcomed by eating disorder charities.
