Watchdog warns customers could be overpaying for vet services

The Competition and Markets Authority has decided to launch a formal market investigation

Pet owners across the UK could be overpaying for medicine for their animal, according to the Competition and Markets Authority which says it has found “multiple concerns” with the veterinary sector.

Consumers are often not informed of the cost of treatment before agreeing to it, and in many cases aren’t provided with basic information like price lists.
