Warning over energy jobs if renewables investment does not rise

In Scotland the energy workforce could fall by 40% by 2030 if the transition isn't successful

There’s a warning that almost 100,000 energy jobs could be at risk if investment in renewables does not increase and there’s a rapid decline in oil and gas.

A new report has laid out the stark issue of failing to manage energy transition with thousands of jobs in Scotland on the line.

It’s called for both governments to ensure that policies in the future encourage more investment in the North Sea.
