‘Violence forced me out of my job’, says pupil support assistant

A pupil support assistant has told STV News she has been forced out of her job because of the level of violence and aggression in the classroom.

Alana Gauffre spent two years at a primary school in Dunfermline and has described having a chair thrown at her and a child threatening to stab her with a broken coat hanger.

The pupils responsible were as young as six and seven.
