Vigils held across Scotland for Overdose Awareness Day

Drugs policy minister insists the voices of those who are affected by addiction are at the heart of the national mission to reduce deaths from overdose

Angela Constance has been speaking as families and recovery groups have been taking part in remembrance ceremonies.

Hundreds are expected to attend a candlelit vigil in Glasgow tonight to reflect on the lives lost to drugs and to highlight the grief of those left behind.
