Uptake of the Covid-19 vaccine is lower amongst some groups of the population

Vaccine uptake has been lower in children aged 5 to 11 and significantly lower in people of colour.

The number of people being vaccinated against Covid-19 in Scotland is high– but amongst some groups of the population– numbers are lower.

Public Health Scotland says fewer children, people from ethnic minorities and pregnant women aren’t getting jags.

]Researchers say some people are missing out on their vaccination- because they’re underestimating the ill-effects of covid and doubting the safety of the vaccine. Laura Piper has this report.
