Unions and workers urge action to save Grangemouth jobs

They say that's vital to protect hundreds of jobs and the country's fuel supply.

Unions and workers at the Grangemouth oil refinery are urging the UK and Scottish Governments to intervene and save it from closure.

The call was made directly to the First Minister at a meeting this morning. John Swinney was also pushed to come up with a better industrial strategy for the area – with workers at bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis also facing redundancy.
