Ukrainian refugees share their story a year on from invasion

More than 23,000 refugees have arrived here since the outbreak of the war

It’s a year since Russia invaded Ukraine and tonight events are being held across Scotland as Scots stand in solidarity.

Some refugees are now settled in their own homes, but many others are still in temporary accommodation such as cruise ships.

The women and children who fled here have had to make huge adjustments – settling in to school, trying to find work, and making new friendships.

All this while facing an unknown future, and worrying about loved ones back home.
