The UK Government is trying to push through its plans to award oil and gas licences every year.
MP’s are debating the plans as the Prime Minister attempts to continue to show his backing for future drilling in the North Sea.
But opposition parties and campaigners have warned that the move would do nothing to help those struggling with energy bills.
