Typical household energy bills will fall to their lowest level for two years from April.
The regulator Ofgem is lowering its price cap after a reduction in wholesale prices.
It will mean a saving of around £20 per month on average for a dual fuel household.
However, the cost of gas and electricity will remain well above pre-pandemic levels.
