Two new ‘lifeline’ drugs approved by NHS for blood cancer treatment

Myeloma affects around 2,000 people in Scotland - and the disease causes more than 250 deaths annually.

People that have spent years trying to keep their cancer in check have been given a lifeline, thanks to two new drugs approved on the NHS.

Elrinatamab and Techlistamab have been called “miracle drugs” by people living with Myeloma and running out of treatment options.

One man who was diagnosed with the incurable blood cancer ten years ago has told STV he only had months to live before getting the brand-new drug.
