Two lynx captured after being ‘illegally released’ in the Highlands

The animals are now on their way to Edinburgh Zoo to be quarantined.

Two lynx which were on the loose in the Highlands have been captured.

The wild cats are thought to have been released illegally in an act described as “reckless” by an animal charity.

They were caught following a major search in freezing temperatures overnight.
