Tributes have been paid to a “special wee woman” after emergency services were called around 4am on Saturday to a report of a woman injured in Cardowan Road in the Carntyne area of the city.
Elizabeth Colligan, known locally as Betty, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation is ongoing into the 82-year-old’s death, as police also urgently search for a man who was last seen in the area around the same time.
