A murder trial in Aberdeen has heard DNA evidence taken from the bedding where Brenda Page’s body was found was 590 million times more likely to be from Christopher Harrisson than another man.

The body of Dr Page was discovered in her flat on the city’s Allan Street in July 1978.

Forensic scientist Andrew Gibb told the court advanced techniques found that a sperm sample matched her former husband’s profile.
