The impact of tourism in Angus has grown to more than £320m but the number of visitors staying in serviced accommodation like hotels is on the decline.

That’s according to research from an analytics company which found the region saw a boost in day trips and overnight stays last year.

But that spike in accommodation was mainly felt by the self-catering industry.
