Three killed in Stonehaven derailment suffered ‘unsurvivable injuries’

An FAI into the crash is expected to last for three to four weeks.

The families of the three people who died in a train derailment in Aberdeenshire in 2020 have paid tribute to them, as a fatal accident inquiry gets underway into the crash.

Driver Brett McCullough, Conductor Donald Dinnie and passenger Christopher Stutchbury all died when the train derailed in August 2020 after hitting a landslip.

The inquiry at Aberdeen Sheriff Court is expected to last three to four weeks.
