Thousands of women to benefit from pelvic prolapse research

About 40% of women over 50 will have prolapse with around 10% of those experiencing symptoms

Thousands of women are expected to benefit from research into the self-management of pelvic organ prolapse.

The common condition, affecting women, happens when one or more pelvic organs drop from their normal position.

A clinical study from Glasgow Caledonian University has found the use of a self-managed pessary, leads to fewer complications.
