Thousands of Scots ready to jet off from Edinburgh Airport

Workers at Glasgow Airport are set to walk out in a dispute over pay.

Almost a quarter of a million passengers are jetting off from Edinburgh Airport.

This is the busiest weekend of the summer season for the country’s largest airport, with 62,000 taking off and landing today alone.

Meanwhile, Glasgow airport staff have announced they will be striking in two weeks’ time over pay and working conditions.
