Thousand jet off from Glasgow airport as summer holidays begin

Many schools have finished up for the summer break with families heading to sunshine hotspots

Thousands of holidaymakers have been jetting off through Glasgow airport today as the busiest period of the year gets underway.

Around 30,000 have gone through the airport today alone and passengers are being urged to prepare before travelling.
