A third of adults are concerned about the cost of their energy bills this winter, according to a new survey.
It showed nearly eight in ten have cut back on expenses due to rising prices.
More than half have used extra layers or blankets instead of central heating.
The charity Citizens Advice Scotland, who carried out the research, is calling on the government and the energy regulator to protect the most vulnerable.
